48 Hours in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY)
I had the fortune pleasure of becoming a year wiser in the comfort of a plush (yet foreign) bed; courtesy of a traveling friend; via a Williamsburg boutique hotel.
While in Brooklyn, i packed my schedule, explored like a tourist (my favorite party trick), and got some well deserved R&R.
Here’s what I did (in order of appearance):
I attended Cleo Wade’s ‘Remember Love’ book launch - facilitated by Lindsay Peoples
Stumbled upon an array of street art - tried finding murals to match my outfit.
Found a real seductive and alluring quote in the process - courtesy of 7 Souls Deep
My friend and I had the entire Domino Park to ourselves - it was literally radio silent, peaceful, and serene.
I walked around Williamsburg chatting with locals, manifesting my desires for the future, sharing moments of laughter, and fighting sleep (lol). I also had a spiritually captivating conversation with a gentleman minding his business on a bench (pictured below) - clearly I wasn’t minding my own…
I received the CUTEST Post-it Notes from the hotel staff/team and made a ‘Thank You’ card for my friend (because she’s amazing and deserves much thanksgiving/praise)
I created an INSIDEOUT care package scavenger hunt in Domino Park (see next post - click here)
Made a mini-campaign to thank Smartwater for contributing to (and sponsoring) the INSIDEOUT wellness (micro) day retreat
I stopped by McNally Jackson - a place of restoration and humility (for me). They also sell I AM AND I WILL: The A-Z of Positive Affirmations and Call to Actions! feel free to grab a copy here.
Tried Tacombi for the first time and stopped by SCOSHA to purchase a ‘Thank You’ gift!
I woke up a year wiser and walked around Brooklyn in my Pj’s (mind you I don’t even wear pajamas in the house; but it felt good on the street)
Had lentil empanadas and fresh lemon tea
I Found a Yamaha keyboard on the street crying for me to take it home… - I left it standing there—reluctantly!
I freshened up and had some delicious hummus
I walked to a nail salon to fix a smudged toenail… - enjoying boundless street art in the process!
I also had an intimate (un-captured) pre-birthday dinner at Planta - sharing a birthday week with approximately 4 other celebrants and got the opportunity to talk to a beautiful man; who was also turning a year wiser (that night). It was very a precious encounter.
Thank you Brooklyn!
-Sincerely, Sherrise
